About The Role
As a Clinical Pharmacist Consultant, you will engage with patients virtually, offering counseling and support to discuss prescribed medications. This role, ideal for an independent contractor, requires approximately 20 hours per week (Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST).
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Conduct virtual patient consultations to provide medication guidance.
Perform comprehensive medication reviews to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
Ensure accurate medication documentation using our proprietary platform.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and patients to manage medications effectively.
Represent the company professionally in adherence to policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
Active, clear, and unrestricted pharmacy license in the state of operation (additional state licenses are advantageous).
Minimum of 3 years of clinical, retail, and/or Medication Therapy Management (MTM) experience.
Direct patient counseling experience.
Strong analytical skills to assess medication regimens and interpret clinical data.
Excellent verbal communication, listening, and motivational interviewing skills.
Customer service-oriented with a patient-focused approach.
Ability to work independently and adapt to new processes efficiently.
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
Compassionate demeanor with the ability to quickly build rapport with patients.
Additional Requirements For Independent Contractors
Maintain personal liability insurance.
Access to secure, high-speed internet and a HIPAA-secure workspace.
Laptop/PC with video capabilities.
Willingness to undergo drug testing and a background screening.
