Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Clinical Manager for a field-based role focused on overseeing a designated region. As a Clinical Manager, you'll lead a team of technologists, ensure adherence to company policies and protocols, coordinate equipment maintenance, manage schedules, deliver top-notch customer service, and identify new business opportunities. A key aspect of this role involves implementing customer service initiatives and maintaining accountability for key performance indicators essential for the region's success.
Essential Duties
Provide case coverage when necessary.
Offer day-to-day management and support to technologists and team leads (6-8 Neuro Technicians).
Conduct annual performance evaluations, identifying areas for professional growth.
Collaborate with schedulers to manage the clinical schedule and ensure adequate coverage.
Communicate and implement clinical and operational policies and protocols.
Regularly review key performance indicators with senior management, identifying areas for improvement.
Lead efforts to resolve issues and enhance key performance indicators in collaboration with the management team.
Foster and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders, including regular presence in operating rooms and surgeon offices.
Address escalated customer service issues in partnership with key stakeholders.
Ensure timely close-out of clinical cases in collaboration with technologists.
Participate in management call rotation for after-hours support.
Delegate oversight responsibilities to neurotechnologists as appropriate.
Facilitate timely credentialing of new employees and maintain compliance of existing team members in coordination with the credentialing specialist.
Conduct interviews for prospective hires and oversee new employee on-boarding.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to uphold high standards of customer service and identify new business opportunities.
Organize monthly team calls, quarterly meetings, and team bonding events.
Provide monthly business reports to the field director.
Qualifications
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences or related field required.
CNIM certification.
Experience/Training
Preferred experience in clinical management.
Two or more years of experience as an IOM clinician.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Clinical expertise in intraoperative monitoring.
Strong organizational skills for managing personnel across a wide geographic area.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with business metrics.
Proficiency in MS Office suite.
Ability to focus on both clinical and business process development.
Working Conditions
Possible exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials with proper precautions.
Use of protective clothing as required.
Occasional/frequent travel to healthcare facilities, urban and rural.
Variable work schedules, including weekends, and availability during non-scheduled work times.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
Capability to stand, turn, and stoop for extended periods in operating room settings.
Proficiency in applying electrodes to patient anatomy with precision and speed.
Travel required.
