Salary Range
Insmed takes into consideration a combination of candidate's education, training, and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required in the role, and external market and internal value when determining a salary level for potential new employees.
The base salary range for this job is from $119,000.00 to $167,267.00 per year

The primary responsibilities are overseeing internal and external laboratories and liaising with the clinical team to manage clinical trial samples.
Responsibilities
- Oversees daily operations in the laboratory with respect to troubleshooting instrumentation, out of specification/atypical results investigations, analytical methods and reports, review and approval of protocols, data interpretation and evaluation, etc.
- Coordinate inventory monitoring, sample management, tests to be perform, and manages all ordering and requisitioning of supplies, synchronizing this activity with other functions.
- Work cross-functionally to coordinate sample logistics with the clinical team from collection at the site through accessioning at the laboratory.
- Manage external laboratory vendors (central and specialty laboratories) to support the clinical trials from developing SOWs, sample collection kit development, and training material development.
- Initiate and implement plans, develop, and improve areas of the laboratory for greater efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years managing clinical lab.
- Knowledge of managing clinical lab vendors and developing scope of work.
- Previous experience with human samples (tissue) preferred.
- Knowledge of SOPs, protocols, and other technical documents.
- Knowledge of analytical instrumentation.
- Excellent critical thinking skills to support quality decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
