Clinical Director

The Clinician will work with the supervisory and program staff with the Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Division, working both with survivors of brain injuries as well as individuals in the Moving Forward Plan (MFP). These individuals are experiencing aging through the state mental health system, often having previously been provided intensive case management for diagnosed mental illness as well as substance use needs. In efforts to more appropriately assist these individuals with individualized services, who are otherwise placed in skilled nursing facilities.

The Clinician will work to develop treatment plans, behavioral guidelines and/or positive behavior plans that meet the standards established by ABI regulations. Minimize barriers in an effort to achieve the delivery of high quality evidence-based practices, programs and services, and ensure overall clinical management of program in accordance with executive leadership objectives, organizational mission, policies, practices, program funding and applicable regulatory agency guidelines.

Requirements

General Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Vice President of ABI
  • Provides administrative and clinical oversight to the clinical Department.
  • Provides clinical consultation and supervision of all clinical roles/positions both scheduled and as needed.
  • Provides consultation and assistance in times of client crisis.
  • Ensures positive collaborative relationships internally and externally.
  • Provides clinical input on referrals.
  • Acts as a liaison for outpatient clinic.
  • Oversees clinical department compliance with regulation and licensing expectations.
  • Maintains a positive work environment and models professional and effective communication in all interactions, both internally and externally.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and EHR's.
  • Other duties as requested by the Vice President.


Minimum Position Qualifications: (meet one from section A and all of B)

  • A psychologist
  • LISCSW
  • BCBA
  • Master or Doctorate Level
  • Have at least two years of training, including post graduate work and/or formal training, and/or experience in function-based behavioral assessment and treatment.
  • Have training in PBS, organizational strategies and multi-tiered systems of support.
  • Have at least five years of clinical experience in the treatment of individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health and autism.
