Job Description
Nurses working in the COVID testing units collect specimens (Nasopharyngeal and anterior nasal) from asymptomatic and symptomatic people in an effort to confirm or rule out the COVID-19 virus. The swab units assist in fulfilling the testing recommendations for COVID 19 for patients coming to the facility for treatment/surgery as well as those in the community who may have symptoms of COVID-19 or require testing to rule out exposure to help facilitate quarantine efforts as indicated based on results. Nurses work in a team environment and rotate between various skills including ordering testing in Cerner EMR under the direction of the care provider, collecting specimen and labeling, patient education, gathering correct supplies and PPE, and following proper workflows.
Hours are M-F 8 AM-5PM

Proof of Computer Base Learning transcripts from Relias, Elsevier, Health Stream, or other vendor competencies, completed within the last year
Proof of one-hour Harassment Prevention Training, completed within the last year
Proof of N95 Testing, completed within the last year
Proof of Covid Vaccination or Declination and consent to testing
