Climate Policy Consultant

The Opportunity:

To effectively execute missions, organizations need outside help looking at their operation. Whether standing up a new organization, transforming an existing one, or transitioning an organization, such as merger, split-up, our clients need a consultant who will take the time to learn the complexities of their organization and provide them with tangible advice on business process improvements, mission success, and standard methodologies.

That’s why we need you, a consultant who can analyze every aspect of your customer’s operations and give them the roadmap to becoming the organization they envision. As a policy consultant on our team, you’ll contribute to the overall picture of your client’s mission, operations, and outcomes in a manner that they may not have thought of before.

On our team, you’ll use discussions and workshops with stakeholders and clients to analyze and succinctly present data related to policy, operations, strategy, business performance, opportunities, or investments. Once you have a thorough understanding of where and how the organization can improve, you’ll work on a path forward to develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.

You Have:

  • Experience supporting efforts in the areas of policy analysis, government relations, and communication in a professional or internship setting
  • Knowledge of federal environmental and infrastructure policies
  • Ability to conduct independent research, lead marketing and client-facing efforts, and create client-ready deliverables
  • Ability to define methodologies, work with teams to conduct data-driven qualitative and quantitative analysis, and make recommendations
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Scheduled to obtain a Master's degree by Summer 2024

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
