THE POSITION

As a member of the Volunteer Resources Department, you will work in an office environment that is dynamic in activity and complex in function. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will provide support services to the Director of Volunteer Resources, who is charged with the productivity and successful outcomes of the Volunteer Resources Department. You will assist with developing forms, informational material, flyers, promotional materials, appeal letters, thank you letters, and budget account databases for requesting donations and volunteer department information. This position helps with communications with donors, board members, and staff, both by phone and in person. Duties also include organizing and maintaining directories and electronic files.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
    • May change based on operational needs.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility

QUALIFICATIONS

Minim um Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination .
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
