Claims Manager

Overview:

Highly regarded NYSE Insurance company is seeking a Claims Manager to either manage a small group of people along with a small caseload or be a Technical Manager and be assigned a full caseload. Position can either sit in the NYC area or Syracuse. Positions are open due to retirement and promotion. Routinely chosen as a TOP 100 Company (and the top insurance company) to work for.

The Job:

Will be responsible for NY Casualty General Liability along with Commercial Excess large loss claims

Assess coverage issues on all claims

Manage outside counsel on litigated claims

What you will bring:

BA + 6 years of casualty claim experience with a particular concentration in complex claims and NY Labor Law claims. Experience should be extensive in these areas.

JD's are ALWAYS welcome but not necessary

Must possess a strong academic record along with excellent oral and written communication skills.
