We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil Engineering Consultant to join our team on a full-time basis. The Civil Engineering Consultant will play a pivotal role in providing expert advice, technical guidance, and project management expertise in civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering design, construction management, and client consultation.
Roles And Responsibilities
Project Planning and Design:
Lead and oversee civil engineering projects from conception through completion.
Develop project plans, specifications, and engineering designs in compliance with regulatory standards.
Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and environmental assessments.
Technical Expertise and Analysis:
Perform detailed calculations and analyses related to structural design, drainage systems, utilities, and infrastructure.
Review and approve engineering drawings, reports, and construction plans.
Ensure technical accuracy and adherence to engineering best practices.
Construction Oversight and Quality Assurance:
Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and safety standards.
Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify workmanship and quality of materials.
Address and resolve technical issues and challenges that arise during construction.
Client Advisory and Communication:
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice and solutions.
Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, goals, and budget constraints.
Present technical information and project updates to stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and project teams.
Regulatory Compliance and Permitting:
Navigate regulatory processes and obtain necessary permits and approvals for civil engineering projects.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to land use, environmental impact, and zoning.
Prepare documentation and reports required for regulatory submissions.
Project Management and Coordination:
Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to achieve project milestones and objectives.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and subcontractors.
Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
