Civil Engineer (Water/Wastewater)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare reports, memos, and designs for water/wastewater infrastructure.
• Serve as task leader and deputy project manager on water/wastewater planning and design projects.
• Organize and facilitate team meetings.
• Support design development from concept through final design, including reviewing work done by others, such as reports, memos, and pilot studies to determine applicability for system improvements.
• Participate in client and internal meetings to support and advance project work.
• Serve as engineer of record for final deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of increasingly responsible experience in municipal civil engineering, focusing on the municipal sector. Experience in water/wastewater treatment facility planning and design and water supply transfer and conveyance is preferred.
• Strong understanding of water/wastewater infrastructure systems, including pumping, treatment, and conveyance.
• Working knowledge of environmental laws such as the Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, and related permitting frameworks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability and desire to work on multiple concurrent projects in a team environment.
• Ability to collaborate with remote virtual project teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
