Civil Engineer 2

Overall Responsibility:

A Civil Engineer 2 supports the project's PM and team through efficient plan production. Must

be self-motivated individual that works well independently in a team-oriented environment.

Must be able to make independent & design decisions

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Proficiency in developing more complex grading and drainage plans
• Firm understanding of hydrology and watershed management
• Proficient at phased ESPC plans & BMP design
• A firm understanding of SEI AutoCAD standards
• Set up drawings per SEI standards
• Ability to quickly grasp and apply new design procedures/ordinances
• Utility design proficiency (water, sewer)
• Proficient at design of basic transportation improvements in support of civil
  
  

engineering projects. Basic transportation improvements include widenings, entrances,

turn lanes, accel/decel lanes, pedestrian facilities, etc.

• Efficiently generate profiles in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Design of complex wastewater systems (Lift Stations, etc)
• Permitting experience and knowledge of local state and county laws
• Basic surveying knowledge and ability to interpret and evaluate the quality of survey
  
  

data and documentation.

• Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates
• Excellent communications and relationship building skills
• Additional duties as assigned
  
  

Experience, Proficiencies, Skills and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an accredited four-year
  
  

college or university.

• Minimum 4 year of related study and design experience
• Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) in Georgia required
• Professional Engineer (PE) in Georgia preferred
• Firm understanding of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Hydraflow, Stormsewer, Hec-1, Hec-2
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project and Adobe/PDF Exchange
• Must possess current, valid driver’s license and Social Security Card or other
  
  

documentation for E-Verify. EOE.
