Job Description

Reporting into the Chief Executive Officer, this is a newly created Chief Human Resources Office opportunity. Embark on an exciting leadership journey with a dynamic organization based in Houston, TX. As the Chief Human Resources Officer, you will oversee both a US and Global HR team in a company of approximately 2000 employees. This pivotal role invites a seasoned HR professional with a minimum of 10 years of experience to spearhead key initiatives, including international expansion, mergers and acquisitions, organizational design, HR systems implementation, and change management.

Main duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Strategic Leadership: Drive the HR strategy aligned with organizational goals, leveraging your expertise to contribute to the company's growth and success.
  • Global HR Management: Lead and inspire a diverse HR team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence across both domestic and international operations.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Play a crucial role in navigating the complexities of mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless integration and maximizing the potential of new additions to the company.
  • Organizational Design: Spearhead initiatives related to organizational design, driving efficiency and effectiveness to support business objectives.
  • HR Systems Implementation: Oversee the implementation of cutting-edge HR systems, enhancing operational efficiency and providing valuable insights through data-driven decision-making.
  • Change Management: Navigate and lead change initiatives, promoting a positive and adaptive organizational culture.
  • Legal Compliance: Address the challenge of non-compete agreements when hiring employees, ensuring compliance with legal requirements while attracting top talent.

Please note that a presence in the office is required 3 to 4 days a week. At least 20% of the time will be traveling, both domestically and internationally.

The Successful Applicant

In return for a competitive remuneration package, the successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 12+ years of relevant HR experience
  • Proven track record of being in the #1 HR position in a global business, managing HR teams across domestic and international locations (ideally in the Middle East and/ or Asia and/ or Australasia)
  • Expertise in mergers and acquisitions, organizational design, and HR systems implementation
  • Strong understanding of change management principles
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally, at least 20% of the time
  • Ability to work in the office in Houston at least 3 to 4 days a week (non-negotiable)

What's on Offer

  • Base salary of between $ 250,000 and $ 275,000 (dependent upon experience)
