Childcare Worker (Nursery Caregiver)

First Pres First Pres is a 3,100 member, 5-generation congregation in the heart of Colorado Springs. We are looking for individuals with high standards of excellence and commitment to hospitality and childcare who can create welcoming, safe, and nurturing environments for our nursery, ages 0-6 years old. Under the supervision of the Nursery Coordinator and the direct leadership of the Nursery Lead, Nursery Caregivers engage in continuous improvements, teamwork, communication, and training to provide excellent customer service and job performance.

All Nursery Staff Are Expected To

• Provide a welcoming, nurturing and safe environment for everyone in connection with the Nursery.
• Represent Christ and the Church with grace and hospitality, providing Christian missional teachings and behaviors as appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with other staff towards the Church’s ministry vision and goals and respect confidentiality.
• Hold beliefs that are consistent with those of First Presbyterian Church.
  
  

Must be at least 18 years of age

High school or equivalent education is required

Flexibility in the daily activities of the position is essential

Good verbal communication skills

Some Caregiver Experience Preferred

Biblically based knowledge helpful

Current First Aid/CPR certification is necessary (training provided)

Computer experience helpful

Hours: Approximately 15-20 hours/week, including, but not limited to, Sundays, Easter, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Thursday mornings, some evenings and flexibility to work special events and additional hours as needed.
