Job Description

The YMCA Child Care Services is looking for a detail-oriented Child Care Services Program Director. Under the guidance of the Senior Program Director, the Program Director will be responsible for expanding the curriculum of current programs as well as introducing new program offerings. This position will be responsible for hiring and managing all staff to support the various program areas.

Qualifications

Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:

• Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred. A combination of equivalent work experience, education, and training may be considered.
• One to two years of related experience preferred as a coordinator or supervisor of childcare programs.
• Previous experience building a team, running programs, and supervising others is preferred.
• Ability to relate to, welcome and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
  
  

Essential Functions

Lead: Demonstrate leadership qualities by guiding 25-35 staff members through hiring, training, and development.

Connect: Build positive relationships with branch staff, school staff, site staff, community partners, parents, and youth.

Build: Develop, implement, and promote quality programming to support engagement, program growth, and retention.
