Chief Risk Officer

Office Status: On-Site

Salary: Up to $340,000

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with executive management to drive, influence, and collaborate on the accomplishment of business objectives and overall company goals.
  • Advise and credibly challenge executive management on risk issues to influence strategic direction and long-term business planning and to ensure compliance with regulatory rules and expectations.
  • Ensure and responsible for an effective Enterprise Risk Management strategy, culture and framework that includes establishment of risk limits on an enterprise-wide basis and monitoring of compliance of such limits; the implementation of and ongoing compliance with policies and procedures; development and implementation of processes and systems; management or risks and risk controls within the risk-control framework; and monitoring and testing of the risk controls.
  • Direct and responsible for remediations of risk-related deficiencies and issues in a timely manner, including directing action plan generation, supervising remediation implementation, managing progress and ensuring sustainability.
  • Manage processes and systems for establishing managerial and employee responsibility for risk management, including enforcing clear roles and responsibilities, ensuring appropriate incentive structure and proper accountability.
  • Oversee identification, monitoring, measuring, and mitigation of all enterprise risks independently responsible for market risk, liquidity risk, operational risk, information security risk, reputational risk, country/transfer risk, etc. and coordinating with other Chief Officers for credit risk and legal/compliance/BSA/AML risk.
  • Advise risk mitigation for existing / intended new products and transactions, and provide aggregated and detailed analysis in line with risk appetite and limits.
  • Lead to build and oversee a cohesive risk MIS and data governance model that integrates and maps all enterprise risk; Lead the formulation and implementation of assurance governing transmission, storage, and use of information and data system;
  • Responsible for the Branch’s risk MIS infrastructure including a sufficiently robust data architecture and information technology.
  • Supervise the Chief Information Security Officer and Information Security and Data Security activities.
  • Administratively supervise the Credit Risk Review team
  • Supervise contingency (business continuity) planning
  • Represent Bank in industry and related activities
  • Lead and responsible for risk-related projects assigned by the GM, Bank Head Quarter, and other executive management.
