Chief Risk Officer

JCW Group is currently partnering with a rapidly growing bank in Fairfield County, CT area to hire a Chief Risk Officer.

Summary:

Tasked with advancing adherence to risk and regulatory standards through the identification, quantification, review, assessment, and measurement of risks. Ensuring the comprehensive identification and management of all risk categories in alignment with regulatory compliance and audit mandates, approved risk tolerance, risk appetite, and strategic plans.

Overview of Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervise the complete operations and functions of the Risk/Compliance department, encompassing responsibilities such as guaranteeing the formulation and execution of corrective action plans to address issues and offering general guidance as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Typical Recruiting Specifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 10+ years related experience in a financial institution or regulatory agency, including a minimum of 10 years experience in direct legal, compliance, and/or enterprise risk management accountabilities is required.
• Strong leadership competencies coupled with 10 years of people management experience is required.
• Certification in a risk management or auditing discipline (CRCM, CISA, CISSP, CISM, etc.) is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the auditing process, GLBA compliance requirements, and risk assessments
