Chief Operating Officer

The position:  

As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be instrumental in enhancing and streamlining our operations across all departments, offices, and geographies. As a results-driven leader, your primary focus will be on implementing and executing structures, processes, and procedures that drive efficiency, create togetherness, foster a collaborative work environment, and create business flow.

Essential Duties:

• Work closely with the sales-driven, founder-CEO to transform the company from an entrepreneurial company into a structured business set up for long-term success

• Lead and oversee daily operations across all locations, ensuring alignment with company goals 

• Develop and execute strategic plans to improve the flow between operations, finance, sales & marketing 

• Have procurement and logistics experience

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, training, and coaching employees to enhance their skills and performance

• Inspire and motivate teams to accomplish company goals and vision

• Understand and address the needs and motivations of employees to build a positive and productive work environment

Requirements:

• Minimum of 15+ years of international experience in senior operations roles

• Have been COO in a company with a sales volume over 50 mm annually.

• Logistics: You have experience in the movement, storage, and flow of goods. You're skilled in warehousing, order fulfillment, supply chain management, and planning & executing logistics strategies.

• Purchasing and Procurement: You have experience creating a process & procedure to develop a well-oiled purchasing department.

• Proven experience in creating vision, direction, and strategic planning

• Operational experience with a seasonal business, live goods, or perishable, a plus

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to understand and address the needs and motivate employees

• Develop and implement supply chain risk management strategies and processes to mitigate potential disruptions
