One of the most talked about, fastest growing Personal Care Consumer Goods companies is now looking to hire a new Chief Operating Officer (COO). The business has undergone explosive growth, from approx. $50M in Sales to approx. $1bn in the last 5 years. This position will report into the CEO and oversee End2End Supply Chain operations including Procurement & Sourcing, Logistics & Warehousing, Planning and Forecasting, Manufacturing & Production, Quality & OPEX, together with IT, Technology and Project Management. This COO role manages a team of senior direct reports, but will also be – from time to time – required to ‘roll your sleeves up!’, get scrappy and get involved (NOT a role that sits behind a desk week in week out).

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage strategically and operationally End2End Supply Chain and Operations for the business, both Globally and Domestically
• Build succession planning initiatives for wider team, multiple departments, and drive a culture of continuous improvement
• Establish, develop and nurture New relationships with 3rd party suppliers to drive cost optimization across the company’s Operations and Supply Chain
• Manage and develop existing strategic partnerships with 3rd party service providers
• Advise and support CEO on short and long term cost reduction programs for maximum EBIT results
• Oversee the deployment of significant capital investment in network design, capacity, and new technologies
• Foster transformation agenda to achieve significant ROI, including organization redesign and reorganization, growth and channel strategies, value capture, and major supply chain and business reinvention projects.
• Drive major transformation programs that required significant capital investments

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Bachelor’s degree (ideally in an analytical subject)
• Proven experience holding a C level role in a $1bn to $2bn business
• Extensive experience in Consumer Goods (Personal Care ideal, but Not mandatory)
• Strong process improvement & cost saving accomplishments
• Experience with managing teams of multiple senior direct reports
• Proven experience implementing/working with ERP systems (SAP, MRP, etc)
