Who You Are

You are a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational and leadership abilities, backed by at least 2 years of experience in strategy and management consulting or a similar role in a rapidly growing startup environment. Your problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to secure buy-in, mediate compromises, and foster strong relationships across all levels of an organization. You thrive in dynamic, high-pressure environments and are adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail.

What You’ll Do

As Chief of Staff at MySimplePetLab + MySimplePetExpress, you will be the primary support to the CEO, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the executive team. You’ll play a crucial role in formulating and maintaining strategic initiatives, translating them into annual objectives for sustainable growth. You’ll act as the CEO’s proxy in various executive functions, manage large-scale cross- functional projects, and provide critical decision support through research and data analysis. Your role will also involve coordinating high-level meetings and events, monitoring organizational performance, and implementing strategy adjustments as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years in strategy and management consulting with a leading firm, or equivalent experience in strategic planning or business development
• Proficiency in data analysis for performance evaluation and strategic decision-making
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking capabilities
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Advanced project management skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
• Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Management: Assist CEO in formulating and maintaining strategic initiatives, translating them into annual objectives for growth and performance enhancement
• Leadership Support: Serve as CEO’s proxy, prepare for strategic discussions, presentations, board meetings, quarterly executive retreats, and key projects. Engage in executive meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
• Project Management: Direct large-scale, cross-functional projects, managing timelines, resources, communications, and accountability to ensure projects conclude successfully
• Decision Support: Conduct research, benchmarking, and data analysis to inform strategic decisions and optimize operations
• Meeting & Event Coordination: Manage CEO’s calendar, organize high-level meetings and events, ensuring detailed agendas and seamless logistics
• Performance Monitoring: Track organizational performance, identify issues, and implement strategy adjustments as necessary
