Our vision is to make barrels accessible to anyone and everyone and we do this by supplying premium used bourbon, whiskey, wine, and specialty barrels to our customers. Due to our rapid growth, we are looking to add to our team at our Louisville, KY location. 


Position Overview

The Chief of Staff at Midwest Barrel Co. will act as the right hand person to our CEO. This person will act as a liaison between the CEO and the internal team members, leading projects, and facilitating communication. This individual will handle all project management tasks, act as an extension of the CEO, help delegate tasks effectively, and exists to be available for the organization’s needs. 


We are looking for an autonomous multi-tasking individual who is responsive, efficient, and detail-oriented individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in project management, demonstrate effective leadership skills, and receive feedback positively in a collaborative environment. This position will oversee and manage the projects of team members. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison and confidant to the CEO, assisting in decision making and strategic planning 
  • Oversee and lead cross functional projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with company goals 
  • Facilitate effective communication between the CEO and internal teams, ensuring all parties are informed and aligned. 
  • Prepare and review documents, reports, and presentations for the CEO.
  • Identify and address potential issues before they escalate, providing solutions, and recommendations.
  • Assist in the preparation and follow up of meetings, including creating agendas and capturing action items.
  • Represent the CEO in meetings and communications when necessary. 
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting company culture and values.
  • Utilize Asana to track progress, manage design projects, and collaborate with the team on projects ensuring deadlines are met

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred 
  • Project management experience required 
  • Previous experience with a software Work Management Platform (such as Asana) required
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Previous bourbon/industry experience preferred
