Role Summary

The Chief of Staff (CoS) to the CEO of Humata Health, Inc. is a pivotal role designed to enhance the CEO's efficiency and effectiveness. This professional will support the CEO in executing strategic priorities, managing company planning, and fostering key strategic relationships. The CoS role is a two-year engagement, after which the individual will have the opportunity to transition into an operational or growth-oriented role within the company.

Role Responsibilities

Enable the CEO to Execute Strategic Priorities:

  • Collaborate with the CEO to establish priorities and manage the CEO's time towards these priorities.
  • Identify and address gaps in the CEO's deliverables, taking on tasks to free up the CEO for critical responsibilities.
  • Oversee, organize, and prioritize critical deliverables and required information for efficient decision-making.
  • Identify and remove roadblocks for the executive leadership team.
  • Support the CEO in setting and executing the company's overall strategy, especially in achieving quarterly and annual OKRs.
  • Handle oversight of high-priority special projects that do not fit within the organizational chart or span multiple departments.

Partner with and Support the C-Suite / Executive Leadership Team:

  • Collaborate with executive team members to determine and prioritize business strategies.
  • Work with the executive team to solve problems, mediate disputes, and ensure issues are resolved before reaching the CEO.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior management team.
  • Manage company and department level OKRs, measure progress, remove obstacles, and provide timely updates.
  • Help the executive leadership team navigate through uncertainty and risk.

Amplify And Improve The CEO's Communication And Accessibility

  • Enable the CEO to champion the vision, mission, and values consistently and innovatively across the company.
  • Develop comprehensive agendas for CEO 1:1's to ensure thorough and effective communication.
  • Develop and manage an engagement plan for the CEO to communicate openly and honestly with all employees while promoting Humata Health's culture.

Represent The CEO

  • Attend meetings on behalf of the CEO where appropriate.
  • Make decisions on behalf of the CEO as permitted, ensuring strong cultural and talent fit for director-level and above candidates.
  • Build and sustain relationships based on mutual trust and respect.
  • Build relationships across the organization to identify issues and provide valuable solutions for the CEO and leadership team.

Management Of The Executive Recruitment Process

  • Oversee the recruitment process for high-priority candidates in partnership with recruiting and the people team.
  • Interview high-priority candidates, acting as a thought partner to the CEO.
  • Develop customized onboarding schedules and documentation for key new hires.
  • Recruit and train the next CoS for a seamless transition of responsibilities.

Support The CEO As Needed

  • Ensure that the CEO is well-prepared for every meeting.
  • Liaise with key opinion leaders on C-Suite offsite planning and activities, ensuring relevant content is prepared and executed.
  • Work with people team leadership to identify opportunities to improve employee engagement and culture, ensuring CEO support.
  • Work with finance on governance and board updates, including quarterly board meeting content.

Education And Experience

  • Master's degree in business administration, healthcare, or a similar field preferred.
  • 10+ years in a business or management role.
  • Experience in consulting or entrepreneurial roles.
  • Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets for reporting and analytics.
  • Volunteer experience in a leadership capacity is a plus.
