Chief Medical Officer (CMO)

Overview

Executive Search Associates is conducting a search for Chief Medical Officer for Clarke County Hospital, a UnityPoint Health affiliate. UnityPoint Health is a hospital system known for their team-first culture and exemplary physician-led focus on patient care coordination. This growing critical access hospital is proud to deliver excellent, compassionate and personalized care to the people of south central Iowa.

This opportunity calls for a visionary physician leader who can actively bring new technologies to the hospital, drive innovation and elevate healthcare delivery and the patient experience. The CMO will oversee medical staff, lead the Hospitalist Program, and direct the Rural Health Clinic, Anesthesia, and Respiratory Therapy departments. Additionally, the CMO will play a crucial role in supervising, recruiting, and mentoring providers while building strong relationships within the hospital and the community. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Role

• Develop clinical programs
• Bring in new procedures and technologies
• Build the provider team
• Oversee the Hospitalist Program
• Provide oversight and mentorship to the physician team
  
  

Requirements

• MD. or D.O. (Internal Medicine specialty preferred)
• 5 years clinical practice experience
• Hospitalist experience
• Licensed in Iowa
