**Job Description**

As the Chief Medical Officer at Mercy Community Health, you will be a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. Your role involves collaborating with executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and department heads to develop and implement strategic initiatives. You will oversee clinical services across various areas such as adult primary care, pediatrics, gynecology, psychiatry, and counseling, ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage all providers and key clinical directors, promoting collaboration and excellence.
  • Provide strategic guidance on medical and clinical operations, including organizational development and integrated healthcare delivery.
  • Lead initiatives to improve clinic operations, patient flow, and administrative efficiency.
  • Drive quality improvement efforts through data-driven insights, ensuring high standards of patient care.
  • Develop specialized programs across Mercy sites, focusing on fiscal responsibility, quality outcomes, and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to optimize clinic operations and uphold policies and procedures.
  • Maintain clinical duties part-time to remain connected with patient care and clinical staff.

**Qualifications**

  • Medical degree and board certification in a specialty.
  • Active medical license in good standing.
  • Master of Health Administration (MHA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience with at least 4 years in a leadership/administrative role.
  • Experience in clinical risk management is advantageous.
