Position Summary

The Chief Marketing Officer, reporting to the President + General Manager of Briogeo, will lead the teams responsible for developing and implementing the marketing and product strategy for Briogeo. The CMO is responsible for ensuring the product vision is reflected in all marketing, digital and sales efforts, with flawless execution. This role requires a savvy marketing leader focused on creating a best-in-class experience for the consumer across all touchpoints.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver consumer centric & innovative marketing strategy that drives sell out and market share gain, with an integrated approach to increasing brand awareness, conversion and building brand love; set global marketing vision
  • Lead team to develop product innovation based on consumer insights, market trends, competitive landscape, assortment gaps and new category opportunities while leveraging creativity and beauty intuition
  • Partner with Sales & Digital teams to ensure Marketing and Brand vision is executed cohesively across channels
  • Build best in class partnership with retail marketing partners, and deliver differentiated trade marketing strategies to maximize sales
  • Identify opportunities to promote existing products and support with insights-driven campaigns
  • Lead strategic partnerships and collaborations with external agencies, vendors and influencers
  • Be a strong partner with the Creative team to deliver captivating content to be used in campaigns, social and in-store
  • Protect Briogeo brand equity and evolve brand identity as needed
  • Lead and develop the Marketing team to ensure high productivity and the achievement of all functional goals
  • As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, contribute to overall Briogeo business planning and decision making
  • Leverage expert understanding of the marketplace to make strategic business decisions relative to the brand and product strategy

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; 10-15 years brand management experience including 10+ years beauty leadership experience managing multiple aspects of the business including P&L responsibility, with a brand management emphasis
  • Proven track record of driving growth in revenue
  • Must demonstrate strong strategic, creative, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Must be an effective leader who can inspire teams around a shared goal
  • Excellent communication skills (public speaking and presentation)
  • Thrives in an environment that is extremely fast-paced, rapidly changing, and consumer-centric

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Briogeo / Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Pay Range: $275k - $300k salary per year. Other rewards may include an annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Briogeo / Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life, and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
