Position Summary
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Lending Officer plays a pivotal role in overseeing the credit management and risk performance of Business Impact NW's lending activities. This leadership position entails managing all aspects of credit administration, including origination, underwriting, funding, and servicing across our range of loan products. The Chief Lending Officer is responsible for implementing and enforcing BIN's loan policies, ensuring compliance, and supervising the Loan Department team.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all lending activities align with BIN's mission and regulatory standards.
Communicate and enforce loan policies and procedures effectively.
Oversee the development and maintenance of Loan Department policies to enhance loan delivery efficiency without compromising quality.
Supervise internal and external audits of loan portfolios and individual loan files.
Directly manage loan originations, underwriting, and credit approvals.
Collaborate closely with Loan Officers to structure loan applications, ensuring compliance and feasibility.
Conduct robust credit analysis and ensure adherence to all loan requirements.
Originate, underwrite, and close loans as needed to support departmental goals.
Manage delinquency, troubled assets, and collateral recovery efforts.
Lead initiatives for SBA, USDA, and CDFI re-certifications.
Engage in outreach efforts to strengthen loan referral sources and enhance BIN's community profile.
Develop annual work plans to achieve departmental objectives aligned with the budget.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Experience in SBA lending is advantageous.
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
7-10 years of experience in credit administration, underwriting, and portfolio management within financial services.
Strong knowledge of small business lending practices and regulatory compliance.
Proven ability in problem asset management and loan restructuring.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities strategically.
Schedule & Location:
Full-time position (40 hours per week, 8:30am-5pm).
Headquarters based in Seattle, WA.
Remote work options available within Washington, Oregon, Alaska, or Idaho.
Compensation Package
Annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $132,964, based on experience.
