Chief Growth Officer (CEO in waiting)

Opportunity to become CEO in a few years!

Intello Consulting is working with one of Fortune's top Engineering consulting firms, referred to here as The Firm. We are helping them in their search for a Chief Growth Officer, who would eventually take over as CEO.

The Firm, a leading national engineering and science consulting firm and the largest of its kind in its home state, is seeking a proactive, innovative, and results-driven Chief Growth Officer to join our executive leadership. This role, reporting directly to the CEO, involves collaborating with senior leadership and the Board to develop and implement growth strategies and initiatives. These efforts aim to drive organic growth and acquisitions across the organization and its affiliated entities, ensuring profitable growth and client stability. The position is based in Green Bay with opportunities for professional flexibility.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Engage actively in strategic planning and forecasting to align business strategies with organizational growth and client stability objectives.
  • Work closely with the CEO and leaders of business units to design an effective sales organization, participate in team selection, and oversee relationships with sales and marketing teams across all entities.
  • Lead the development and implementation of robust sales and marketing practices and tools across all entities.
  • Explore and identify new market opportunities, services, and delivery methods in coordination with business unit leaders.
  • Facilitate cross-selling opportunities and sponsor sales organization training and development initiatives.
  • Engage directly with key clients, including proposal reviews and strategic meetings, and represent the company at conferences.
  • Travel as needed to client sites and other local offices.
  • Exemplify and promote our brand and unified culture.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Over 15 years of experience in strategic growth leadership within a sizable organization or business unit, including managing dynamic sales teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration (MBA).
  • Experience in the consulting or professional services sectors.
  • Proven track record in marketing, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Deep understanding of the industries relevant to The Firm.
