My client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team in Nassau County, Long Island. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the distribution industry and possess strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. This role offers a hybrid work environment, combining remote work flexibility with the need for in-office presence as required.
Role & Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives and operational efficiency. Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and the executive management team.
Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Analyze financial performance and market conditions to provide insights and recommendations.
Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Operational Efficiency: Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve financial performance. Oversee cost management initiatives and productivity improvements.
Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financing activities to ensure the company's financial stability and liquidity.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards. Oversee audits and work closely with external auditors.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong understanding of financial management, corporate finance, and accounting principles.
Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and execution skills.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems specifically NetSuite ERP.
Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Progressive experience in finance, with experience in a senior financial leadership role within the distribution industry.
