NOW CFO is seeking a highly skilled CFO to join our consulting team in Sacramento. This position requires expertise in strategic financial leadership, providing comprehensive financial management, some operational functions, and guidance to our clients.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement robust financial strategies to support business growth and profitability.
Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Manage cash flow, capital structure, and financial risk to ensure the financial health of the organization.
Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the executive team.
Lead the preparation and presentation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, focusing on key compliance areas.
Develop and execute effective financial controls and budgets to minimize risk and enhance investment returns.
Conduct thorough financial analysis and internal audits to assess and mitigate financial risks.
Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and stakeholders, managing all aspects of financial audits.
Oversee investment activities and make recommendations for funding strategies.
Collaborate with other executives to develop long-term business plans and strategies.
Monitor financial performance and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Ensure accuracy and integrity in all financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (BS/BA/MBA).
Extensive experience in financial management, with a proven track record in a CFO role.
In-depth understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures, with a strong knowledge of GAAP.
Strong leadership skills, capable of operating effectively at both strategic and operational levels.
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in written and verbal communication.
Highly attentive to details, with a commitment to precision in all work aspects.
CPA certification (preferred but not required).
Experience in public accounting (preferred but not required).
