Role Overview

As the Vice President of Accounting and Controller, you will be a key player in shaping our company's future. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead our Payroll and Accounting Teams, ensuring financial compliance and driving process improvements to support our growth. Your role will involve maintaining strong relationships with our restaurant teams while preparing us for future financial structures.

Responsibilities

Accounting Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations to ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Lead period-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage the annual audit process and internal controls.
• Mentor team members to maintain accuracy in financial statements.
  
  

Payroll Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy in payroll cycles across multiple states.
• Collaborate with HR on compliance and benefit structures.
• Implement automation to streamline payroll functions.
  
  

Strategic Leadership

• Develop a strategic vision for departmental growth.
• Foster cross-functional relationships to support operational needs.
  
  

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience in both public and industry-specific roles.
• CPA required; CMA preferred.
• Experience in multi-state payroll and leadership positions.
• Proficiency in GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
  
  

Additional Details

• Base Salary Range: $190,000-$220,000 (plus bonus and equity).
• Flexible and remote work options available.
• Location: Denver, CO, headquarters at the Snooze Mothership.
