Chief Financial Officer

Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a mid sized non profit to help them find a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The ideal candidate will oversee both Finance and Human Resources departments, playing a crucial role in the organization's financial health and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Financial Management

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with our organization's mission and goals
  • Oversee cash flow planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to the management team and board of directors
  • Manage investments and audit activities
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
  • Human Resources Oversight
  • Supervise HR operations, including payroll processing and benefits administration
  • Collaborate with external HR service providers as needed
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures


Strategic Planning

  • Contribute to the organization's strategic planning process by providing financial insights and guidance
  • Evaluate the financial feasibility of proposed programs and initiatives
  • Identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement


Risk Management and Compliance

  • Assess and manage financial and operational risks
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements
  • Lead and mentor the finance and HR teams
  • Collaborate with the executive team and other departments to align financial and HR processes with organizational strategy


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA highly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership/senior financial management role, preferably in the nonprofit sector
  • Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting practices, grant management, and fundraising
  • Experience in human resources management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in financial management software and HR information systems
