Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a mid sized non profit to help them find a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The ideal candidate will oversee both Finance and Human Resources departments, playing a crucial role in the organization's financial health and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with our organization's mission and goals
Oversee cash flow planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting
Prepare and present regular financial reports to the management team and board of directors
Manage investments and audit activities
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
Human Resources Oversight
Supervise HR operations, including payroll processing and benefits administration
Collaborate with external HR service providers as needed
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
Strategic Planning
Contribute to the organization's strategic planning process by providing financial insights and guidance
Evaluate the financial feasibility of proposed programs and initiatives
Identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement
Risk Management and Compliance
Assess and manage financial and operational risks
Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements
Lead and mentor the finance and HR teams
Collaborate with the executive team and other departments to align financial and HR processes with organizational strategy
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA highly preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership/senior financial management role, preferably in the nonprofit sector
Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting practices, grant management, and fundraising
Experience in human resources management
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Proficiency in financial management software and HR information systems
