Our client is a highly respected manufacturer of advanced and highly reliable electrical connection technology found in numerous building and industrial applications. This worldwide operating company has a staff of around 1500.


To help achieve the next phase of the expansion in the growing North American market, TH Bender has been retained to support the recruitment of a hands-on, experienced, and strategic Chief Executive Officer to lead and manage the development of the short- and long-term operational strategy of the NA operations and align the strategy with the Company’s overall business objectives and resources.


Key responsibilities:

  • Provide cross-functional supervision and lead all aspects of administration.
  • Develop and coordinate the market development strategy
  • Review, and improve as needed, the Company’s internal business operations; develop and implement plans and strategies to optimize business operations and functions.
  • Set clearly defined short- and long-term goals for the internal development of the organization and develop action plans to meet these goals.
  • Drive sales and strategic targeting of key markets and clients and leverage existing connections in the industry for growth opportunities.
  • Actively engage in the acquisition of new key customers while maintaining relationships with existing clients and partners.
  • Evaluate industry and business trends to identify and analyze opportunities for growth.
  • Interface regularly with the Company headquarters and its international channels and cooperate closely with the colleagues of the global management team.
  • Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of the markets, the industry, and the individual key players who drive / influence investment decisions.
  • Support and participate in local and global trade fairs, conferences, etc.
  • Represent the organization in important external business relationships with major clients, joint venture partners and the public.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Key qualifications:

  • Proven track record leading an organization in growth mode with P&L or significant budget experience required
  • Several years of leadership experience in corporate development, sales / BD management, and/or key account management
  • Extensive background / experience within the electrical industry required.
  • Solid understanding of costing, accounting practices and budgeting processes; able to calculate margins of products and initiatives.
  • Sound understanding of commercial business practices and the ability to align sales and operational activities to support greater organizational objectives.
  • Must exhibit a high level of project management, organizational, and negotiation skills and be able to improve / create a shared services platform.
  • Direct experience working across diverse cultures would be beneficial with previous experience internationally and in global teams with foreign headquarters.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to communicate complex business issues in a concise manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
