My client has offices in Medford & Norwood, MA along with New Haven, CT. They are a leading General Contractor in New England, leading the most complex construction projects. They are known in the region for delivering reliable, sage, and high quality work. From a team of 200+ employees, projects are up to $250M in the Higher Ed, K-12, 149A, and Healthcare sectors. They are urgently searching for a Chief Estimator to join their team and assist in leading on complex projects!
Job Description
The Chief Estimator will be responsible for:
Leadership and oversight of the estimating team, including staffing, and all stages of employee development
See a project from conceptual bidding to bid
Delegates and assigns estimates to the team while ensuring estimating team accountability
Oversee 7-8 Estimators and report to Director of Estimating
Lead regular estimating meetings to review open bid opportunities and review the status with the team
Develop and guide larger or complex estimates
Establish estimating standards for all estimates and oversee analysis of past performance on estimates

The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant will have:
17-25 years of experience - come in as a Sr. Estimator and move to Chief within a year
Have a project background of Healthcare, Chapter 149A, District Energy, and/or Higher Education
Experience with On Screen Takeoff, Sage
Commutable to Norwood, MA or Medford, MA office
Proven track record of success of working on a team or management
