Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Chief Electrical Estimator to lead the estimating team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the estimation process for electrical projects, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with client expectations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical estimating, a deep understanding of construction costs, and strong leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the electrical estimating team, providing guidance and mentoring.
• Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Conduct thorough material take-offs and labor assessments for electrical installations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
• Analyze historical data, market trends, and pricing to ensure competitive and profitable bids.
• Prepare detailed bid proposals, including cost breakdowns, schedules, and risk assessments.
• Present estimates and proposals to clients and participate in negotiation meetings as required.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in electrical construction estimating.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in electrical estimating, with a track record of successfully bidding on large-scale projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, components, and construction methods.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Accubid, Intellibid, Bluebeam).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities, with the confidence to present proposals to clients.
• Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
