The Chief Credit Officer will provide oversight of the Bank’s credit risk; ensure that loan policies and procedures are maintained and managed to drive favorable credit quality outcomes; lead the Credit Administration team including attracting, developing, and retaining talent; ensure compliance to mitigate risk; and strategically advance the portfolio management capabilities and reputation and services of the Bank.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
· Minimum 10 years of commercial lending experience or equivalent with proven record of maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio.
· Broad hands-on experience with a variety of loan types and segments across Commercial Banking and community lending activities.
· Strong leadership/management experience at division level of a commercial bank.
· Experience in developing and meeting budget and executing strategic plans.
· Thorough knowledge of Federal and State regulations covering commercial banking activities.
· Experience in dealing with regulators, auditors, and the investment community.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
· Significant client contact experience as a relationship and sales manager desirable.
· Prior work experience in consumer underwriting preferred.
