Job Summary

Real Chemistry’s 21GRAMS is looking for our first Chief Client Officer to keep building something special. 21GRAMS, Real Chemistry’s advertising and education arm, has done a lot in its first 5+ years. Known for our creativity, 21GRAMS has been ranked a top 5 most creative health agency in the world by Cannes Lions (with 100% regulated, real client work). We aren’t creative-led, account-led or led by any specific department. It takes a team to do ambitious things, and our ambition is to help people connect with healthcare. By making advertising less of an interruption and more worth people’s time because it actually gets them. Culturally, it’s a “good to each other, hard on the work” atmosphere. As an agency with the full capabilities of Real Chemistry at our fingertips, we’ve got endless potential. As the Chief Client Officer, you will be a big part of leading us to the next step. Why? Our clients’ success is ours. One important note, this role will be based out of our New York City office – we currently are in the office 2-3 days a week and is part of the 21GRAMS Leadership Team. What you'll do: We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Client Officer to join our team.

As the Chief Client Officer, you will play a pivotal role in leading our client relations efforts, driving business growth, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction. You will also be responsible for the Account Management department – setting the vision for, managing and developing strategic business leads at every level, and ensuring we deliver a consistent experience to each client. This position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of pharmaceutical advertising, a proven track record in client management, and the ability to build strong, lasting client and internal relationships, as well as high-performing teams. Based on experience, there is potential for our UK offer to report into our Chief Client Officer as well.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive client engagement strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Lead client pitches, fostering growth and expanding our client portfolio
  • Implement initiatives and programs to enhance client retention rates
  • Foster a culture of growth, including leading annual growth planning in partnership with the Chief Commercial Officer
  • Act as a strategic advisor during challenging situations, ensuring swift resolution and maintaining client trust
  • Build and nurture strong relationship with key clients, understanding their business needs and challenges, ultimately serving as a strategic counselor to key clients
  • Partner with creative and strategy leads to ensure that we are consistently doing work that pushes the industry forward
  • When appropriate, act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing insights, guidance, and solutions to enhance their brand presence
  • Act as a liaison between 21GRAMS and other parts of Real Chemistry, helping to seamlessly integrate our capabilities (when needed) and continue to show up as one team
  • Proactively address client concerns and ensure high levels of client satisfaction
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing account management team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, enabling professional development and growth
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of client initiatives
  • Based on experience, management of our UK offer and account team

What You Should Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proven experience in a senior client management role within the pharmaceutical advertising industry
  • In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical marketing regulations and compliance
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team
  • Excellent communication, negotiations, and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset

Pay Range: $325K-350K
