Requirements And Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will possess a relevant Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred), give evidence of scholarly potential, and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching.
- Candidates should be able to teach general chemistry as well as upper-level courses including organic chemistry and biochemistry.
- Experience with basic laboratory equipment and ability to prepare for student lab experiments is required.
- Experience with more advanced instrumentation including HPLC, GC-Mass spectrometers, and IR and NMR spectrometers is desirable. This would include experience with sample preparation, data collection and analysis, as well as routine maintenance of these instruments.
- The successful candidate can expect to be involved in 16-18 student contact hours each week during each semester.
