Chemical Process Engineer
Location: Belton TX preferred
Job Summary: As a Senior Applications/Process Chemical Engineer specializing in air pollution control systems, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of advanced solutions aimed at mitigating environmental air pollution. This role requires a deep understanding of air pollution control technologies, regulatory requirements, and the ability to translate customer needs into effective engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Technical Analysis: Conduct thorough technical analysis of customer requirements and project specifications to recommend appropriate air pollution control solutions.
• Solution Design: Develop innovative and cost-effective designs for air pollution control systems, considering factors such as efficiency, scalability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Engineering Support: Provide technical expertise and support to the sales and engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development to system commissioning.
• Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for product improvement or new product development in the field of air pollution control.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of evolving environmental regulations and ensure that all air pollution control systems comply with relevant standards and guidelines.
• Customer Facing: Engage with customers during the sales process regarding technical requirements, serving as a primary technical point of contact, addressing inquiries, and conducting product demonstrations.
• Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Testing and Validation: Coordinate with testing laboratories and conduct in-house testing to validate the performance and reliability of air pollution control systems.
• Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications, installation manuals, and operation guides.
• Training: Conduct training sessions for internal teams and external stakeholders on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of air pollution control systems.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in the design and application of air pollution control systems, preferably in an industrial or consulting environment.
• Strong knowledge of air pollution control technologies, such as wet scrubbers, electrostatic precipitators, catalytic converters, and industrial ventilation.
• Proficiency in CAD software for system design and modeling.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks, including EPA regulations (e.g., Clean Air Act)
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and external partners.
