Chef Attendant - HAWKS Training Facility

Proof of the Pudding (POP) is the food service provider for the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club at the Emory Sports Medicine Complex. This complex is the official practice facility of the Hawks. POP provides meal services multiple times per day year-round to ensure players, staff, and coaches are fueled with a health-focused menu.

POP is seeking additional chef attendants to assist in actions stations, be a front of house presence for the clients, assist with clean up and service flips, and help the general manager in daily duties.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the preparation of food & beverage areas including handling a smoothie station, action station, restocking coffee station & snack stations.
  • Serve and clear food and beverage quietly, professionally, and quickly, using proper serving and clearing techniques.
  • Cleaning guest areas, bussing tables, wiping surfaces.
  • Assisting with clean up of dishes, organizing prep area, and other tasks provided by the area manager.
  • Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Experience in food & beverage or hospitality is preferred

  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Renowned time management and organization skills
  • Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client’s needs
  • The ability to work alone and as a team
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn and adapt quickly

Work Environment

This position will report to and work from the Emory Sports Medicine Complex. This position will require standing, lifting, and moving product, equipment, and food items. Food Service will consist of a hospitable and social atmosphere with food, beverage, and A+ customer service.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of standing and moving through a kitchen and food service area
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
  • Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 30 lbs.

Position Salary & Benefits

  • Starting rate is $18/hour
  • Benefits include daily meals per shift
