Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Healthcare Industry - multi-site pharmacy or specialty pharmacy

East 57th Street Partners is on the search for a strategic and analytical Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on behalf of one of our prestigious PE-backed clients in the healthcare industry. This executive role is a full-time, remote position with travel to HQ as needed. It is ideal for a finance professional who excels in financial management, strategic planning, and organizational leadership. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the company, ensuring financial health, driving growth, and leading restructuring efforts, particularly in the multi-site pharmacy or specialty pharmacy space.

Role Summary:

The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for leading the company's financial functions, including financial planning and analysis, accounting and reporting, treasury, and finance operations. The successful candidate will possess a blend of strategic vision and practical financial expertise, with a proven track record of enhancing financial performance, supporting business objectives, and managing restructuring initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the financial strategy of the company, aligning financial management with the overall strategic objectives of the organization.
• Lead the finance team in managing all aspects of the company's finances, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and investment management.
• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the company, including evaluation of potential mergers, acquisitions, and investments.
• Ensure credibility of the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
• Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization and oversee federal, state, and local regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
• Work closely with other members of the executive team to advise on the financial implications of business activities and operational strategies.
• Manage relationships with financial institutions, investors, and external financial analysts.
• Oversee the capital structure of the company, determining the best mix of debt, equity, and internal financing to support the company's growth and stability.
• Lead and manage restructuring efforts to optimize financial performance and organizational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as CFO, finance officer, or relevant role in the healthcare industry, particularly within the multi-site pharmacy or specialty pharmacy space, demonstrating a successful track record in financial leadership.
• Strong understanding of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
• Proficient in the use of financial management software (e.g., ERP systems).
• An analytical mind with a strategic ability to think broadly about the business and its financial needs.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; MSc/MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPA or CFA) is preferred.
• Experience in managing restructuring initiatives is highly desirable.
