Certified Medical Assistant - Urgent Care

Join the Urgent Care team as a Washington State credentialed Medical Assistant-Certified at Camas!

In this role you will room patients, take manual vitals and operate an automated BP machine, collect data and report in the EMR, and manage the MA in-basket for requests. You will need clinical skills to complete ear lavage, EKG, sterile set-up, injections, immunizations, swabbing, phlebotomy. Must have ability to wear mask all day and an N95 in cases where protocol directs.

Full time (40 hours/week): Wednesday (6 hour shift), Thursday (12 hour shift), Friday (12 hour shift) and every other weekend (10 hour shifts each day)

Pay range: starts at $21.18 with active Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant-Certified credential, higher depending on evaluation of experience. Differentials Available: Saturday/Sunday ($2.50/hour) and Evening ($2.00/hour).

Medical Assistant Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
  • Certification from national certifying entity (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, etc.) required
  • Current Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified credential required, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire required.
  • Current healthcare provider BLS required.

Pay Range

$20.76 - $29.06

Benefits-eligible employees accrue PTO and Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked, totaling 120 hours in the first year for full time staff and 200 hours in the first year for full time supervisors and above, increasing in subsequent years. PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
