We have an opening for a Certified Medical Assistant to provide phone triage services to our OBGYN patients at our South care Center located in Indianapolis, IN.

The person hired will be responsible for ensuring all obstetrical and gyn patients with high quality care following current evidence based guidelines.

• Answering all urgent and non-urgent incoming OB calls
• Refilling prescriptions following physician protocols
• Review any medical concerns and consult with provider as necessary
• Understand general OB and GYN education
• Review general office functionality including hours of operation, after hours calls, and provider call rotation.
• Assist and schedule upcoming ultrasounds and appointments
• Enter necessary lab orders
• Risks associated with pregnancy
• Offer genetic testing
• Schedule ob and gyn appointments
• Consult with practice providers
• Direct calls to the proper area
• Document all conversations in patient chart
  
  

Qualified candidates will have experience as a Certified Medical Assistant, a degree from an accredited program, and a minimum of 1 year experience working in a medical facility, preferably in an OB/GYN setting. Knowledge of CPT coding, lab specific order sets, and Greenway are beneficial.
