Assist in activities related to the medical and psychosocial aspects of utilization and coordinated care.
Education/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. 2-3 years managed care setting, medical office or facility setting with demonstration of medical administration duties.
Thorough knowledge of customer service, utilization review or claims processing practices in a managed care environment and operation of office equipment such as a personal computer.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Experience with Word, Excel Powerpoint
Medical Assistant Certification
Day-to-day responsibilities of this the role and a description of the project
Complete assigned tasks and document findings
Follow up calls with DME companies, Physician's offices, etc.
Coordination with multi-disciplinary teams
Follow up calls to members
Any other projects that may arise
Performance Expectations/metrics For This Individual And Their Team
Must be able to meet strict turn-around times with documentation
Complete approximately 20 to 40 tasks per day
Conduct follow up calls in a timely manner
