Medical Assistant

Remote Role - Must reside in United States

Pay Rate: $16-18/hr (dependent on experience)

Contract Role: 6+ months

Anticipated Start Date: Janary 22, 2024

Job Description

Assist in activities related to the medical and psychosocial aspects of utilization and coordinated care.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 2-3 years managed care setting, medical office or facility setting with demonstration of medical administration duties.
  • Thorough knowledge of customer service, utilization review or claims processing practices in a managed care environment and operation of office equipment such as a personal computer.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience with Word, Excel Powerpoint
  • Medical Assistant Certification

Day-to-day responsibilities of this the role and a description of the project

  • Complete assigned tasks and document findings
  • Follow up calls with DME companies, Physician's offices, etc.
  • Coordination with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Follow up calls to members
  • Any other projects that may arise

Performance Expectations/metrics For This Individual And Their Team

  • Must be able to meet strict turn-around times with documentation
  • Complete approximately 20 to 40 tasks per day
  • Conduct follow up calls in a timely manner
