FEFA LLC is seeking a Clinical Support Coordinator (MA) to navigate and work within proprietary electronic medical record system to evaluate and process patient health information to determine outcomes for various types of medical and specialty exams. Conduct a review of a variety of examination documentation, test results, assessments and information and, by corroborating via phone interview with Service Members and Veterans, provide a clear, comprehensive and concise final product. Work in partnership with providers, Veterans, and Service Members via the call line to ensure examination meets regulatory and contractual requirements for compensation and benefit rating purposes. Possess the ability to shift focus and multitask while maintaining professional demeanor to meet customer and provider needs. Identify emergent behavioral health issues and initiate intervention when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and approve Veterans Benefit Administration (VBA) Order Requests
  • Review Compensation & Pension (C&P) request documents
  • Review claims file for completion of the claims file outline to facilitate LHI providers in location of pertinent information to ensure timely review and accurate completion of Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs)
  • Communicate with a diverse group of people/disciplines while serving as a point of contact (POC) for internal and external entities
  • Monitor, manage and prioritize all VA Clinical Operations order related tasks for this role to facilitate controlled workflow to meet or exceed contractual requirements

  • Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy


Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and current certification (CMA) from an accredited certifying body or Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Medical Assisting).
  • Minimum 5 yrs experience in healthcare
  • Must be able to type 40 WPM
  • Knowledge of healthcare documentation to include medical, behavioral, and psychological terminology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, strong telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify lab results and ancillary services
  • Ability to interpret medical documentation
  • Experience working in an Electronic Medical Record system
  • Ability to work Tuesday - Saturday / 6am-4:30pm CST
  • Knowledge of healthcare documentation and terminology
  • Ability to anticipate potential problems and explore solutions collaboratively
  • Demonstrates a coachable mindset and ability to remain focused
  • Proficiency in healthcare documentation and terminology
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong multitasking and teamwork skills
  • Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding
  • Experience with traumatic brain injuries, neuropsychological testing, or behavioral health
  • Home health, Military or hospice care experience
  • Technical (basic computer knowledge)
  • Ability to type 40 WPM
