Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an educational recruitment firm, is currently seeking Ceramics Teachers for independent schools throughout Texas.


Responsibilities of Ceramics Teacher:


  • This position requires a desire to embrace the school's Fine Arts model, which includes a primary focus on the artist as instructor.
  • This program seeks an instructor in Ceramics for students at both the introductory and intermediate High School level. Experience with and ability to teach wheel throwing is essential.
  • Faculty members in the Fine Arts Program value collegiality; candidates for a Fine Arts position must be willing to work closely with a team of teachers in creating and reviewing curriculum.


REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or (higher).
  • 2-3 years of teaching experience is preferred.
  • Experience running a ceramics studio, ordering supplies, recycling clay, & loading firing kilns
  • As part of residential boarding school, the candidate must be committed to working and living with adolescents and supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.
