The Central Registrar is responsible for the accurate maintenance of student records, oversight of course scheduling, attendance tracking, and management of student information within our student database (CampusNexus).
The Central Registrar coordinates with various departments to ensure that academic policies and procedures are followed. The Central Registrar position is located in Reno, NV. and reports to the College Registrar.
Duties And Responsibilities
Work closely with admissions to ensure all enrollment documentation is accurate, processed and properly recorded.
Ensure student records are maintained in permanent fashion according to company policies and procedures.
Establish the schedule of classes by term and coordinate with the Program Managers and VP of Academic Operations to make all necessary updates to accommodate student population.
Register all students in courses and adjust schedules appropriately for failed courses according to their program requirements and rotation.
Process updates to student transcripts for successful proficiency examination and transfer credits
Evaluate Charter transcripts for students returning to the College to determine applicability towards new program.
Perform periodic degree audits on each student to ensure adequate progress towards graduation.
Process official transcript requests.
Evaluate student satisfactory academic progress to ensure adequate progress and process status changes accordingly for those not making SAP and subject to academic dismissal.
Coordinate with the Student Finance Department to ensure timely processing of extern and graduate clearance.
Provide data to the Student Finance Department regarding veteran students who failed courses to ensure compliance with VA regulations.
Oversee attendance and grade collection and recording process, facilitate processing of out of school students, and status changes in timely manner.
Assist in the review and development of registrar related documents (i.e., official transcripts, student schedules, and more).
Assist in training others as needed on registrar functions and usage of CampusNexus in those areas, giving regular feedback and support for staff development.
Provide support for all system set up required for enrollment, registration and tracking of students in CampusNexus including modifications to satisfactory academic progress, new courses, terms, start dates, periods, and more.
Coordinate efforts with other departments to prepare and process applications for third party agencies.
Assist in the review of catalog, enrollment agreement and other publications to ensure consistency
Complete other projects and duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications And Skills
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Two years of experience managing, entry, update, and reporting of data such as customer information required.
Strong MS Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook skills required.
Strong attention to detail required.
Ability to succeed in fast-paced environment required.
Ability to work independently and in team environment required.
Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
Ability to build and sustain effective working relations with all levels of staffing throughout the company required.
Strong analytical skills required to identify trends and improve processes to resolve issues required.
Compensation
Hourly, non-exempt position - Full Time.
Hourly Range - $20.00 to $ 24.50.
Compensation dependent on experience, knowledge, and education level.
