Job Summary And Qualifications

As a CDI Quality Assurance Analyst, you will perform quality analysis audits of our Clinical Documentation Integrity program. This involves assessing the work performed by CDI staff for the Concurrent Review and Query function, following established policies and procedures. Staying current with CDI standards, guidelines, and processes is essential. Your role is crucial to the overall success of our CDI Quality Program, requiring a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. You may also assist with medical record reviews or focused audits as requested by leadership.

In This Role, You Will

Analyze cases for compliance with CDI concurrent review and query processes.

Apply an expert level of knowledge of CDI processes, concepts, and applications.

Document the quality of reviews and assess QA processes in the audit tools.

Utilize critical thinking skills for medical review and strong writing skills for summarizing audit results.

Possess excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.

Be proficient in the applications used by the department, including WebEx Teams, Electronic Health Records, Iodine, 3M, SharePoint, HPF, MPF, and MEDITECH Scanning & Archive.

Work independently, show initiative, and work with minimal supervision in a remote environment.

Complete all mandatory and assigned education by established deadlines.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

5+ years of healthcare experience.

3+ years of inpatient CDI experience.

Registered Nurse or any nationally recognized credential administered through AHIMA or ACDIS.

Certification such as CCDS, CDIP, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or similar.
