SAGE Dining Services® is seeking a highly qualified Catering Manager with high end catering and large volume production experience in campus dining as well as strong leadership/management office skills for a gorgeous independent school in Houston, Texas.

Our chefs and culinary teams are talented individuals who know how to prepare a great meal! Menus, written by our chefs and prepared from scratch, reflect local and regional foods, flavors and culinary styles. Our culinary teams' cooking methods, recipe development and expertise make every dining experience truly unique. Our catering events rival five star restaurants.

Our managers also manage the financials, set the menus and manage all catering events.

This venue is primarily open Monday through Friday, but special events may occur in the evenings or on the weekends.

This is a management salaried year-round position.

What You'll Do

  • Demonstrate exemplary customer service skills so that all guest experiences are exceptional.
  • Guaranteeing that client catering expectations are met and exceeded through impeccable organization and flawless execution at every event.
  • Recruit, hire and train a permanent and on-call catering team.
  • Manage all billing of catering events.
  • Aid in general location management as part of the SAGE management team.
  • Develop strong client and guest relationships.
  • Communicate clearly, professionally and effectively.
  • Maintain all HACCP standards.
  • Create a positive team environment.
  • Follow and ensure SAGE standards and uphold SAGE mission.

What You'll Need

  • Minimum three years hands-on catering experience.
  • Knowledge of all things catering: set ups, menu process and client meetings.
  • High energy, positive attitude and superior ethics.
  • Candidate must be dynamic, outgoing, and friendly.
  • Ability to plan and organize with proficiency.
  • Proven familiarity with costing/billing and banquet event orders.
  • Catering background a must, culinary background a plus.
  • Outstanding guest service skills.
  • Fluency in sanitation and safety standards.
  • Superior computer skills with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Current ServSafe® certification, as well as local health department certification, where required.
