The Opportunity: Are you ready to be part of something truly groundbreaking? As Category Manager for New Verticals at Flip Shop, you'll play a pivotal role in our mission to revolutionize e-commerce.

Your mission? To scout and onboard fresh and exciting brands into our marketplace. If you have a keen eye for what's next in consumer trends and love the challenge of introducing new brands to a dynamic platform, this position is tailor-made for you. This role is ideal for those who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy the hustle of travel.

This position can based fully remote or in our El Segundo CA office.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Brand Scouting: Proactively identify and recruit new and upcoming brands to expand our marketplace offerings
  • Market Insight: Stay ahead of consumer trends and leverage this knowledge to bring in brands that will excite our customers
  • Relationship Building: Develop lasting relationships with brand partners, ensuring their smooth integration and success on our platform
  • Strategy and Growth: Contribute to the strategic planning of new verticals, focusing on long-term growth and brand performance
  • Collaboration: Work alongside marketing and product teams to effectively showcase new brands and ensure their needs are met
  • Performance Monitoring: Keep track of new brand performances, providing insights and strategies for continuous growth and improvement


Your Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, especially in e-commerce or a marketplace setting
  • A sharp understanding of consumer goods and e-commerce trends
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable with regular travel and adept at managing a fast-paced work environment
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, G Suite and/or Microsoft Office Suite


Base salary and total compensation will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Please note the base salary is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include equity, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and other progressive benefits.
